Manure is professionally applied to fields according to our Nutrient Management Plan under the supervision of our General Manager and agronomist.

Lake Breeze Dairy is very committed to protecting the environment. We have a comprehensive nutrient managment plan that is followed, along with being a DQA Five Star Certified Farm. We use a sand separation system which enables the sand used to bed the freestalls to be re-claimed. We also have an

anaerobic digester which provides energy back to the power company and allows the liquid portion to be spread and irrigated onto the farm fields. Learn more about the digester.

To the right is a picture of one of the railroad cars that holds flush water for the freestalls. This water “flushes” down through the freestall alley and cleans the floors. This enables us to keep the cows cleaner and is automatically done several times a day.
